3A Automotive was founded in 1975 by the Alauria Family's twin brothers Jim & Jon along with their father Archie, hence "3-A". It all started at 1931 W. Cheryl Drive in Phoenix. 3A was a small three bay shop that was growing fast.

By 1989, 3A was "busting at the seams" on Cheryl Drive and Jim decided that it was time to move and purchased the current location at 1539 W. Hatcher Road. From there 3A took off and went from two to four mechanics right away to keep up with the demand for automotive services.

From the beginning the motto has been "Treat customers right and they will never leave you." That viewpoint has proven successful as 3A Automotive is now celebrating over 35 years of automotive service to the people in Phoenix.

Meet Our Staff

Jim Alauria, Owner

Today as the owner of 3A, Jim has passed on a lot of his responsibilities to a hard working staff who are dedicated to the Goal of 3A. But Jim is still hard at work and is involved every day ensuring that every problem is solved and every customer is 100% satisfied.

For most of the first 25 years, 3A was run by Jim, his wife Earlene and Archie. In 2000, Jim's son, Jimmy, moved back to Phoenix after a successful college and professional hockey career with the goal of helping his dad take the business to the next level. Today, Jimmy is 3A's President and has become one of the Automotive Industry's top speakers on customer service and shop management.

Tom Sutliffe, Service Manager

Tom came to 3A in April of 2009, but from the way he treats 3A like it were his own and how much the customers appreciate him, you would think he's been here since the beginning. A Phoenix native, Tom has over 20 years of professional experience in the automotive industry and takes a lot of pride in forwarding Jim's Mission for 3A.

Adrian Jarmillo, Service Advisor

Adrian grew up in this industry next to his father who owned a shop here in Phoenix for 20 years. Hired in 2010, Adrian's great attitude towards life and strong interest in helping people makes him a perfect fit for 3A.

Rich Million, Lead Technician / Mechanic

With over 30 years of experience there isn't much Rich can't fix on a car. Followed to 3A by dozens of customers, who he's been taking care of for years, Rich takes pride in solving problems and making sure every car that leave 3A is done right the first time.
